Turning water trees into an electrical tree in a controlled scenario to localize the PD can be achieved with DAC technologies. With damping AC signal at 10 to 500 Hz (range from 30kV to 200kV) along with partial discharge detector, the cable segment can then be replaced. This will avoid power interruption in medium and high voltage cable of power utility compaines.
